ARCHITECTS, RECENT GRADUATES & STUDENT INTERNS Directed by Tom Verebes, OCEAN CN Studio is a specialist design studio recently launched within Turenscape, a multidisciplinary design practice based in Beijing, founded and directed by the celebrated landscape architect, Dr. Yu Kongjian. OCEAN CN Studio is seeking to hire its core team of highly skilled designers, at various levels, ranging from experienced young professionals, recent graduates in architecture, and student interns. Skill sets include expertise in computational modeling and coding, fabrication, visualization, project organization and leadership. OCEAN CN Studio’s team will work on design commissions and competitions for projects in architecture, urban design and masterplanning. In addition, candidates with advanced abilities and intellect may be provided with opportunities to be involved in teaching within Turenscape Academy (TA), a newly launched, independent school for post-graduate studies in architecture, landscape architecture, urbanism and art & design, also recently launched by Turenscape. Qualifications: • Either qualification as an architect; or a graduate or current student in a professional Masters level architecture programme • Advanced skills in Rhinoceros (GH and plug-ins); Autocad; Adobe CS; Laser cutting; 3D Printing These roles are full time positions, based in Beijing, to commence immediately. SHANGHAI TEN | SHOW | EVENT — Verebes curates AA exhibition & organises symposium

SH10 SHOW | EVENT | FOLIO is a series of events which celebrate the tenth consecutive year of the AA Shanghai Summer School, curated and edited by Tom Verebes, and featuring work by OCEAN CN. SHANGHAI TEN has been curated, edited and hosted in 3 parts, including an exhibition (AAVS SH10 | SHOW), and a symposium event held in Shanghai in July 2016 (AAVS SH10 | EVENT), and this book, AAVS SH10 | FOLIO. SHANGHAI TEN is an opportunity not only to look back, collate, reflect critically, and to disseminate the work of the students, tutors, and visitors in the 10 years of the AAVS Shanghai Summer. SHANGHAI TEN is the product of a multi-contributor collaboration, comprised as the composite aggregation from a large design community. Contributions to this exhibition and book have been selected from the work of 745 students from 44 countries who have joined AAVS Shanghai from 2007-2016; 36 tutors who have taught in the programme; and over 80 visitors to the programme, who have given lectures and presentations, attended AAVS symposia, and toured AAVS students to their built projects, factories and galleries in and around Shanghai. In addition, SHANGHAI TEN | FOLIO also includes essay contributions from a range of expertise in urbanism; transcribed conversations from AAVS symposia in 2015 and 2016. SHANGHAI TEN aims to chart pressing intellectual problematics of this context, their formulations as paradigms related to the conception and design of urbanism, and their associated experimental design approaches and methodologies.
